At Honeycomb Counselling, we believe that individual wellness is embedded within relational wellness. It is often hard to understand our own behaviour and the behaviour of those we love. This lack of understanding can lead to hurt and ultimately, painful conflict.
Individual counselling can support you to develop more mindful awareness of your internal experience and teach you how to work with your nervous system to find greater peace and internal regulation. Counselling can also assist you to develop a deeper understanding of yourself as well as help you to acquire skills and implement strategies for more empathic, validating communication with others.
It’s important to understand that we are biologically driven to seek safety in our relationships. Our need for a safe and secure connection with others is hardwired into our being. For this reason, we believe that understanding the science of human attachment is fundamental to the treatment of our mental health.
