Sophie Koolen B Sc, MACP

Registered Clinical Counsellor
Registered Dietitian

I’m a Registered Dietitian and Registered Clinical Counsellor with over a decade of experience supporting children, youth, and adults in both mental-health and eating-disorder care. My work bridges the connection between food, body, and emotional well-being.

My practice focuses on helping individuals and families navigate complex relationships with food, emotions, and body image. Drawing from evidence-based nutrition therapy and psychotherapeutic modalities—including EMDR, somatic approaches, and Emotion-Focused Family Therapy—I offer a trauma-informed, weight-inclusive, and anti-diet approach.

I understand the deep influence that eating and feeding have on every aspect of life. Whether you’re working toward recovery from disordered eating, exploring intuitive eating, or seeking to restore trust in your body, I’m here to help you find balance and peace with food. My goal is to guide you in letting go of unhelpful rules, reducing guilt and shame, and reconnecting with your body’s natural cues in a way that feels sustainable and compassionate.
