Kimberly Hetherington, BA, Hons, RCAT, MACP (qualifying)
Registered Canadian Art Therapist

Kimberly is an art therapist, meditation teacher, published author, and mother. She is currently completing her MA in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University. She combines counselling, intuitive artmaking, and mindfulness to create safe, supportive spaces for personal growth and healing.

She studied transpersonal art therapy in Sydney, Australia and later completed her diploma in meditation training. She also completed a bridging course at Vancouver Art Therapy Institute and is now a professional member of the Canadian Art Therapy Association.

Her sister, Elizabeth, remains a meaningful presence in the heart of Kimberly’s work. After Elizabeth died in 2013, Kimberly began her own long and painful journey through grief. Through this experience, she came to understand firsthand how creative expression and therapy can help hold, process, and transform grief. She also recognizes that grief does not simply end. Instead it changes shape over time and becomes part of the ongoing story of our lives.

Kimberly offers a warm and gentle approach to therapy that combines humanistic, existential, Adlerian, Jungian, and transpersonal perspectives. Together these frameworks share a belief in the inherent potential of each person and the transformative power of creativity. Art is both a mirror and doorway. It's a mirror reflecting our inner lives, and a doorway into deeper insights and new understandings.
