Tricia Legg, BA , M.Ed, MACP (qualifying)
Intern Clinical Counsellor
Hello, I'm Tricia
With over 20 years of experience as teacher and school administrator, I have supported children, youth, and families in social-emotional and academic contexts through public education. I have worked alongside students with diverse learning needs, complex life experiences, and a range of emotional and behavioural challenges.
My approach is shaped by a deep commitment to building meaningful relationships and an understanding that people are best supported when they feel safe, seen, and understood. I have particular experience supporting students in developing independence and life skills, especially as they move through transitions and build confidence in their daily lives.
I am in the final phase of completing my Masters of Arts in Counselling Psychology and working as a practicum student counsellor. My approach is person-centred and trauma-informed, grounded in empathy, curiosity, and professionalism. I believe in lifelong learning and bring a thoughtful, reflective approach to my work.
I work with children, adolescents, and families navigating anxiety, emotional regulation, school-related challenges, and life transitions. I believe growth happens in relationships, and that with the right support, people can experience meaningful change, build resilience, deepen self-understanding, and move toward greater well-being.
It is a privilege to walk alongside clients as they make sense of their experiences and build confidence and resilience.
I look forward to meeting you.
